From June 9 to 12, 2026, the Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) will be held at the China Import and Export Fair Complex. Centered around three core sectors – Lighting Solutions, Lighting Fixtures, and Cutting-Edge Smart Manufacturing Technologies – this year’s edition focuses on five frontier directions: biological, emotional, digital, ecological, and immersive lighting, comprehensively presenting the latest achievements of the lighting industry from technological innovation to scenario-based applications.

As a key bellwether for the global lighting industry, GILE 2026 will once again be held concurrently with the Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT) exhibition, jointly showcasing new trends, new technologies and new opportunities against the backdrop of the industry’s development toward intelligence, digitalization and sustainability.

Lighting Solutions: Smart and Human-Centric in Parallel

Driven by the concept of “human-centric lighting,” lighting design is evolving from meeting basic functional needs toward delivering healthy, comfortable and personalized experiences.

This year’s exhibition will highlight solutions for smart buildings, urban cultural tourism lighting, landscape lighting, road lighting, and AI-powered intelligent lighting. Among them, the AI Lighting Zone will spotlight the application of artificial intelligence and IoT technologies in smart buildings, scene automation and intelligent control, achieving more efficient and energy-saving lighting management through real-time data analysis and environmental perception.

Meanwhile, the urban cultural tourism lighting section will demonstrate how lighting environments can shape nighttime economy scenarios, enhancing urban spatial value and public experience.

Lighting Fixtures: Blending Design Aesthetics with Healthy Experiences

Against the backdrop of consumption upgrades, lighting fixtures are gradually transcending purely functional attributes to become an integral part of spatial design and emotional expression.

This edition will center around the three major directions of commercial lighting, residential lighting and artistic lighting, showcasing healthy light environment design, high-end intelligent lighting systems and innovative achievements in artistic luminaires.

Current industry trends indicate that low-glare design, tunable color temperature systems, concealed linear lighting and high color rendering optical technologies are becoming the focus of market attention. At the same time, artistic luminaires that integrate natural materials, sculptural forms and energy-saving LED technology are driving lighting products toward greater personalization and emotional value.

AI and Smart Manufacturing Technologies Reshape the Industry Landscape

Artificial intelligence is becoming a crucial driving force for the upgrading of the lighting industry. GILE 2026 will highlight innovative achievements such as LED chips, advanced packaging technologies, intelligent drivers, light engine modules, intelligent control systems and cloud platform solutions.

The exhibition will feature specially created zones for the “Advanced Manufacturing and Lighting Technology Industry Chain” and “AI Lighting Technology,” presenting a complete innovation chain from core components to intelligent system platforms, and offering the industry future-oriented technology references and collaboration opportunities.

Jointly Exploring the Future Directions of the Lighting Industry

From smart cities to smart buildings, from healthy lighting to immersive experiences, from green manufacturing to AI empowerment, the lighting industry is undergoing a profound transformation.

From June 9 to 12, GILE will once again bring together the strength of the global lighting industry to jointly explore the unlimited possibilities of integrating light technology with smart living.
