The 18th Fuzhou Fisheries Expo will be held from June 12 to 14 at the Fuzhou Strait International Conference and Exhibition Center. At a media briefing on May 28, it was revealed that this year’s expo, themed "Global Seafood Supply Chain, Source Direct Sourcing in Fuzhou," will adopt a "dual-venue" model for the first time, with its total scale surpassing 100,000 square meters, further cementing its status as a top-tier global professional fisheries exhibition.

The main exhibition hall has been expanded to 74,000 square meters, achieving counter-cyclical growth. Both the number of exhibitors and the range of product categories have reached new highs, securing the expo’s position as the world’s second largest professional fisheries exhibition. The event will feature ten specialized zones, including distant-water fisheries, seafood processing, smart aquaculture, AI fishery equipment, recreational fishing tourism, and intangible cultural heritage fishing culture, fully covering the entire aquatic industry chain. Over 500 companies have already confirmed their participation, and the expo is expected to attract 30,000 professional buyers from home and abroad, continuously strengthening the industry clustering effect.

In terms of international participation, this year’s expo is expected to draw enterprises and institutions from more than 30 countries and regions, including Russia, Ecuador, and Norway. Among them, Turkey and Latvia will participate for the first time. Leading international companies such as the Russian Crab Group and top Ecuadorian shrimp producers will also make a concentrated appearance, deepening global seafood supply chain cooperation through new product launches, tasting events, and exchanges.

Notably, the expo has newly established Hall 9 as a dedicated "Aquaculture Pavilion," spotlighting cutting-edge technologies and products such as smart farming equipment, green fishery drugs, and water quality improvement systems. The concurrent High-Quality Development Conference for Aquaculture will bring together over 200 industry organizations and scientific research experts for in-depth discussions on industry hot topics such as the new version of the Fisheries Law, fishery drug compliance, and quality certification, helping the aquaculture sector move toward standardized and high-quality development.

Focused on business effectiveness, the expo will also hold multiple specialized matchmaking events, including a cross-border seafood supply chain matchmaking session, a rural banquet seafood matchmaking session, a supermarket procurement session, a Yangtze River Delta supply chain matchmaking event, and VIP catering procurement activities, further connecting the production and sales chains of the aquatic industry. At the same time, interactive activities such as a culinary skills competition will be held to enhance industry exchanges and the consumer experience.

In addition, this year’s expo has launched an original cartoon IP named "Xiaofuyu" for the first time. Based on the Fuzhou goldfish, it symbolizes "abundance year after year and a bountiful fishery harvest," becoming the first original IP image among global seafood exhibitions to be realized and mass-produced. During the expo, special events such as a tuna cutting show, a thousand-person fish ball hotpot, an all-eel banquet, and pufferfish specialty cuisine will take turns to impress, while multiple national-level fishery industry summits will be held concurrently, further enhancing the expo’s professionalism, interactivity, and industry influence.
