About

Xinjiang International Convention and Exhibition Center covers a land area of 63,000 sqm, housing 14 exhibition halls. It offers 15,000 sqm of indoor exhibition space capable of accommodating 800 international standard booths, plus a 9,650 sqm outdoor exhibition area. During the first phase of construction, the center also incorporated a 40,000 sqm parking garage, a 25,000 sqm outdoor plaza, and 89,400 sqm of landscaping. The building measures 486 meters in length and 130.5 meters in width. The exhibition halls feature a long-span beam string truss structure with a span of 108 meters, ranking as the third-longest span of its kind in China. The conference center is designed in the form of an ellipsoidal bright moon—its design complexity and seating capacity are among the top of comparable buildings nationwide. The convention and exhibition center houses six major exhibition halls, while the conference hall can accommodate up to 4,000 participants. The membrane structure systems used at the center can be broadly categorized into three types based on structural form: skeleton-type, tension-type, and inflatable-type membrane structures. Xinjiang International Convention and Exhibition Center is one of the largest and most comprehensively functional international convention and exhibition centers in western China, oriented toward Central Asia. As a landmark building in Urumqi, capital of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, it serves as the permanent venue for the China–Eurasia Expo and is a world-class facility integrating conferences, exhibitions, and large-scale celebratory events. It is located at No. 3 Hongguangshan Road, Shuimogou District, Urumqi, Xinjiang.
