Xiamen International Exhibition Center is located on the inner side of the coastal road ahead, on the island, and was mainly built for the take-off of the ROC, revised edition. The exhibition center covers an area of 470,000 square meters, with a total construction area of 340,000 square meters, including Phase I, Phase II, and Phase III exhibition halls and a 210-room four-star hotel, integrating exhibition, conference, hotel, catering, tourism, advertising, and warehousing into a large modern exhibition complex. It has three exhibition halls totaling 15 halls, with a total exhibition area of 100,000 square meters, capable of setting up 5,000 international standard booths, and is equipped with more than 20 high-end conference rooms including a multi-functional hall and an international conference hall. The venue has service points for customs, commodity inspection, banking, insurance, civil aviation, freight, post and telecommunications, supplemented by small shopping areas and business office spaces. The exhibition hall areas range from 2,000 to 9,000 square meters. The ceiling heights range from 7 to 15 meters, and the halls can be flexibly divided to meet the needs of exhibitions of different scales, and are also suitable for large-scale concerts and other performances. The exhibition center square covers an area of 50,000 square meters and has a parking lot with 1,000 parking spaces. In addition to outdoor exhibitions, it provides a venue for outdoor events, including a large opening ceremony. Two exhibition halls are large halls of 4,500 square meters and 2,500 square meters respectively, with a height of 18 meters, and can be used for opening ceremonies, exhibitions, various celebrations, and other purposes. The halls are equipped with more than 20 medium and high-grade meeting rooms, VIP rooms, and conference rooms, including a multi-functional hall of over 2,100 square meters, a 600-seat international conference hall, and rooms for 200 to 50 people. For the convention and exhibition center, the first phase of the project started on October 1, 1998, with an investment of 1.17 billion yuan. In September 2000, the first phase with a total construction area of 165,000 square meters was completed and put into use, featuring five indoor exhibition halls with a total area of 33,000 square meters, actually accommodating 1,800 international standard booths. It was the largest, with the highest hall floor, and the largest single-mass exhibition hall in the country.
