Suzhou International Expo Center

Suzhou International Expo Center is located in the core area of Suzhou Industrial Park. It is a large-scale convention and exhibition complex integrating exhibitions, conferences, celebrations, trade, dining, and leisure. Suzhou International Expo Center was established in May 2003 and opened in 2004, covering an area of 188,600 square meters, with a planned total construction area of 255,000 square meters. The Expo Center currently has 8 indoor exhibition halls with a display area of 70,000 square meters, an outdoor plaza area of 140,000 square meters, and an exhibition hall height of 12 meters. One exhibition hall has a height of 10 meters, a floor load capacity of 5 tons per square meter, and a column spacing of 18×27 meters; two exhibition halls have a height of 12 meters, a floor load capacity of 1.5 tons per square meter, and are non-continuous column halls. The exhibition center's outdoor plaza has a total area of 138,000 square meters, including a lakeside plaza of 103,000 square meters, a central plaza of 35,000 square meters, and 1,500 parking spaces. The opening ceremony of Suzhou International Expo Center was on September 27, 2003. The northern part was completed on September 20, 2004. On September 30, 2004, the International Expo Center was completed. On October 20, 2004, the opening ceremony of the Suzhou 2004 Electronic Information Expo was held at the Suzhou International Expo Center. On December 5, 2006, an office was established at the Suzhou International Exhibition Center. In May 2006, the Consul General of the Shanghai Consulate General and the representative director of Shanghai International Exhibition Company, Yiliang, held the inauguration of the Shanghai World Expo Center and office at the Suzhou International Exhibition Center. The northern area covers 188,600 square meters, with a total planned construction area of 255,000 square meters. The entire interconnected construction project has a building area of 185,000 square meters, exhibition hall area of 70,000 square meters, conference facility area of 35,000 square meters, and a total outdoor plaza area of 35,000 square meters. Currently, the indoor exhibition center has exhibition halls with a viewing area of 70,000 square meters and an outdoor plaza of 140,000 square meters, with exhibition halls 12 meters high. Exhibition halls with a height of 10 meters have a floor load capacity of 5 tons per square meter and a column spacing of 18×27 meters; two exhibition halls with a height of 12 meters have a floor load capacity of 1.5 tons per square meter and are continuous column halls. The exhibition center's outdoor plaza covers a total area of 40,000 square meters, including a lakeside plaza of 103, a central plaza of 35, and parking space for one car.
