Shenzhen Industrial Exhibition Hall

The Shenzhen Industrial Exhibition Hall was established in 1985. It serves to publicize and promote the achievements of Shenzhen's industrial economy, showcase industrial enterprises and product brands, and present the investment environment for professional exhibitions. It is subordinate to the Economy, Trade and Information Commission of Shenzhen Municipality. I. Development History of the Exhibition Hall Initially, the Shenzhen Industrial Exhibition Hall was merely a window for publicizing industrial policies and an important venue for exhibiting industrial projects and products. It also serves as one of the bases for patriotic education. In 1994, the Industrial Exhibition Hall was designated as one of the first foreign affairs reception units in Shenzhen. Since its establishment, it has successively received important guests from over 100 countries and regions worldwide, including 53 heads of state, 79 deputy prime ministers, and over 200 ministerial-level delegations. It is a crucial point of visit for our party and state leaders, as well as foreign dignitaries, during their in-depth visits. Serving as a bridge for showcasing the image of Shenzhen's industrial economy and promoting industrial achievements, it facilitates exchanges with the world, positively contributing to the display of Shenzhen's city image and the enhancement of industrial economic performance. Furthermore, professionals have organized numerous economic and trade exhibitions. Entrusted by the municipal government, the hall has undertaken the organization and exhibition work for the Shenzhen Pavilion at various fairs, such as the China Hi-Tech Fair and the China International Light Industry Fair. It actively assists enterprises in shaping their image, building brands, and exploring markets, making outstanding contributions to promoting Shenzhen's economic development. It has received the "Outstanding Contribution Award for Shenzhen's Convention and Exhibition Industry over 30 Years of Reform" and the "Meritorious Service Award for Promoting the Development of Shenzhen's Convention and Exhibition Industry during 30 Years of Reform and Opening Up." At various periodic exhibitions, it has repeatedly won awards such as the "Best Exhibition Award," "Best Organization Award," and "Best Product Award," receiving full recognition from the municipal party committee, municipal government, and all sectors of society. II. Current Hardware Resources and Main Tasks of the Exhibition Hall (1) Venue Resources In April 2011, the Industrial Exhibition Hall in the downtown area officially opened. The hall is currently located on the 2nd to 10th floors of the Round Tower Building in the city center district. It has a building area of 13,000 square meters, with an exhibition area of 10,000 square meters. It is primarily used for the "Shenzhen Industrial Achievements Exhibition" and periodic industry new product displays. The multi-functional hall, located in Exhibition Hall Three, is mainly used for hosting high-end forums, art salons, and professional training sessions. (2) Main Functions and Responsibilities To collect and publish information related to our city's industrial and information industry as commissioned; to present the economic achievements of our city; to promote our city's investment environment; to organize various exhibitions, trade fairs, and investment promotions domestically and internationally; to provide relevant economic information to domestic and foreign merchants; to offer related services for the development of our city's industrial design industry; to collect and gather data concerning industrial development; to preserve the physical witness of our city's industrial development history; and to conduct research on industrial development, industrial civilization, and related exhibitions.
