青岛国际博览中心

About

Qingdao International Expo Center was jointly designed by the U.S. firm NBBJ and the Beijing Design Institute, with an investment of RMB 2 billion from Nanshan Group, a major national-level enterprise, to create a large-scale international exhibition and convention center. The Expo Center is situated on the eastern coast of Qingdao, northeast of the Laoshan mountain range, along the Binhai Avenue in the Jimo Hot Spring section, south of Aoshan Bay, and at the heart of the Qingdao “Blue Silicon Valley,” a key project under China’s 12th Five-Year Plan. The overall planning of Qingdao International Expo Center comprises four major functional zones, including the South and North Registration Halls, a multi-function hall, ten standard exhibition halls, and one large exhibition hall (Hall N). The main structures are single-story steel constructions, offering a total exhibition area of approximately 260,000 square meters—about 140,000 square meters indoors and over 120,000 square meters outdoors—capable of accommodating more than 6,000 standard booths. As the largest international expo center in northern China, the venue is rationally designed and integrates multiple functions such as exhibitions, conferences, business services, and dining. It can host large-scale professional shows like heavy industrial machinery and equipment exhibitions, medium- and small-sized high-end displays such as jewelry and luxury goods, as well as forums, meetings, and test-drive events of various scales. The center can receive hundreds of thousands of visitors daily, generating substantial flows of people and logistics, stimulating surrounding industries, and strengthening the exhibition economy. The Expo Center and its surrounding areas in Jimo City are well served by supporting four- and five-star hotels, along with business hotels of different grades, capable of accommodating and catering for tens of thousands of guests daily. Large-scale commercial and leisure facilities are steadily being enhanced. Rich local geographical, cultural, and tourism resources provide an excellent business and leisure environment for hosting major conferences and exhibitions. As the urban planning framework continues to improve, Qingdao International Expo Center is set to become a distinctively positioned exhibition and tourism destination within the Bohai Economic Rim, playing a vital role in driving the economic value chain. Qingdao International Expo Center not only boasts outstanding hardware but also an excellent management team. Building on its existing exhibition operation experience, Nanshan Group adopts international operational models and embraces an open-minded approach of “bringing in and going out” to actively advance the exhibition industry. The management team upholds the Group’s philosophy of “Either we don’t do it, or we do it first-class; we pursue development without end,” diligently providing comprehensive exhibition support services. With open arms, we welcome guests from around the world, striving to contribute our corporate social responsibility to regional economic development and innovation.
