杭州国际博览中心

About

The Hangzhou International Expo Center was designed by the Beijing Institute of Architectural Design. It is located in Qianjiang Century City, Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou. According to the Hangzhou City Master Plan, Qianjiang Century City, together with Qianjiang New City, will form the new urban center and central business district of Hangzhou, marking a significant step in the city's transition from the "West Lake Era" to the "Qiantang River Era." The Hangzhou International Expo Center has a total construction area of 850,000 square meters. The main building consists of 5 above-ground floors and 2 underground floors, making it a comprehensive complex integrating multiple business formats such as conferences, exhibitions, dining, tourism, hotels, commerce, office spaces, and hosting services. Situated at the new city center of Hangzhou, the expo center boasts a prime geographical location, a convenient and efficient transportation network, and diverse event venues. Its architectural design combines the charm of Jiangnan aesthetics with modern simplicity. From hardware facilities to software services, and from operational models to profit-making approaches, the Hangzhou International Expo Center is ushering in a new era for China’s sixth-generation exhibition venues. Covering a site area of 190,000 square meters, the main structure consists of 5 above-ground floors and 2 underground levels. The conference area features 61 meeting rooms and 4,000 parking spaces. The grand conference hall spans 3,000 square meters, the banquet hall covers 1,800 square meters, and the multi-functional hall measures 1,300 square meters. Among them, the grand conference hall is equipped with 16-channel simultaneous interpretation, meeting the demands of international conferences. The exhibition center is designed to accommodate 7,500 international standard booths (including 1,000 outdoor booths), with an exhibition area of 90,000 square meters and capacity for 4,500 international standard booths, including a pillar-free hall spanning 10,000 square meters. The conference center is capable of hosting high-level international meetings such as APEC and Davos. The 60,000-square-meter rooftop garden, combined with the Urban Living Room, can serve high-standard receptions, top-tier banquets, and premium boutique exhibitions. The Urban Living Room echoes the "City Balcony" on the opposite bank of the Qiantang River, creating a new urban landmark. The main venue for the G20 Hangzhou Summit is located on the fourth floor of the Hangzhou International Expo Center, covering a total area of approximately 2,000 square meters. It is a perfectly square space with a side length of 45 meters, embodying the traditional philosophical concept of "round sky and square earth." The first complete operating year of the Hangzhou International Expo Center is also a crucial year for actively implementing the "13th Five-Year Plan." As the main venue for the 2016 G20 Summit, we have consistently upheld service standards that reflect the dignity, responsibility, and confidence of a great nation, driving industry progress and accelerating city-industry integration. With this in mind, we have set a higher development goal: "Enhancing quality and efficiency, leading with innovation, and striving to build a sixth-generation exhibition venue." Centered on its core business sectors, the enterprise is deeply expanding the "MICE+N" model, continuously exploring market potential. A diversified, interconnected framework has gradually emerged, with exhibitions as the driving force, tourism as a distinctive feature, dining as a competitive advantage, and hotel services as supporting facilities. Throughout the year, the venue hosted a total of 1,804 conference activities and 35 exhibitions, with a total exhibition area of 3.62 million square meters and 720,000 visitors. It provides a multifaceted platform to introduce China's new-generation exhibition venues to the world. The establishment of Zhejiang’s first unmanned convenience store, the launch of a paperless ordering system in dining, and the full-process smart guest rooms to enhance the customer experience... All these initiatives continue to drive the original mission of promoting green, environmentally friendly, and intelligent innovations.
