The roofs mainly utilize freely breathing, electrically openable metal roofs, which not only allow for natural ventilation and lighting transitions but also can be opened for natural smoke ventilation in case of fire alarms. The opening ceremony located in the central hall features all-glass roofs for natural lighting. The establishment of the Strait International Conference and Exhibition Center not only promotes the development of Fuzhou's convention and exhibition industry but also, together with the Gushan Scenic Area, Gushan Bridge, and Linpu Bridge, forms a magnificent landscape along both sides of the Min River.
